The Real Value of Bitcoin: Between Hype and Utility

We are in a bear market and bitcoin has disappeared from the news. In my post about the gathering storm clouds on the Bitcoin horizon, I had little good to say about the state of the markets. The market is down now and good investors know to buy when there’s blood on the streets and sell when there’s music in the air. So I suggest we now use the bloody streets to our advantage. The market-shaking brutality can be emotionally exhausting. That’s why it’s elementary for an investor to be convinced about his investment. So: what are we actually buying? Or, put another way, what is the real value of Bitcoin?

Grid Trading Beats Time in the Market (or what was that?)

Have you also tried to buy a dump and then sell the pump again? Oh man, that can be frustrating. Often it seems like the market is against you and one dip is followed by another dip, even though you were hoping so much for the pump. While there is the saying «Time in the Market Beats Timing the Market», grid trading still tries to «time» the market. Well, it is less a predicting the market movement, but much more a trading with clearly predefined rules and actions. Grid Trading bots can execute these predefined rules automatically, so you can put away your smartphone and move on to other things.

The speed at which the 5 year old company is progressing cannot be topped. Within a short period of time, Binance has built an empire like no other. But this success story, in addition to all the positive aspects, has also been temporarily clouded. Reduce High Withdrawal Fees on Binance by 50%

A cell phone that sends cryptocurrencies to another.
December 26, 2021 by Benjamin

With the growing interest around cryptocurrencies, many have already made their first experiences with the digital money. The large number of new users has also led to an increase in transactions. Ethereum is (still) known for the fact that not many transactions per second are possible. A combination of few possible and many pending transactions caused the network fee to skyrocket. Well, you had to accept the high fee if you wanted the network to process the transaction in this century. Supply and demand at its best. Binance has stepped it up a notch: To withdraw tokens like USDT and USDC via the Ethereum blockchain ERC20, you pay more than double the already high network fee. This post shows a simple trick how you can avoid the high withdrawal fees on Binance.

December 17, 2021 by Benjamin

Cryptocurrencies and their blockchains are all based on algorithms: clear sequences of calculations, depending on user input. Unlike trading with shares, trading with cryptocurrencies was only possible digitally right from the start. Quite obviously, analog trading of the digital currency would be simply inconceivable. These circumstances imply that automated trading is also easier to implement, which is why trading bot providers popped up like mushrooms. This article takes a closer look at the Pionex arbitrage bot and shows step by step how you can use it yourself.

Bitcoin Collapse – When Is This Bubble Going to Pop?

The sign or symbol of Bitcoin, consisting of numbers. The symbol breaks down into its individual parts.
November 30, 2021 by Benjamin

Dramatic title, thrilling image and intense music (🎶 dum 🎶 dum 🎶 dumm 🎶). Bitcoin collapse sounds really disturbing. But with all the euphoria, some negativity and drama should be allowed. I’m certainly no expert at predicting bubble bursts. Probably no one is because the entire market is driven by emotions and influenced by mass psychology. The current situation may drag on for years and prices may continue to explode; or they may collapse tomorrow.

This article describes some aspects that you should not close your eyes to. It should outrage and shake you awake, if you permanently think only optimistically. Because the higher you rise, the harder you fall and a possible Bitcoin collapse or the bursting of a bubble in the stock market should always be taken into account by investors. Especially in situations like today.

Funding Rate: Is This Free Money?

Man with arms stretched up. Money falling down on him. Image symbolizes financial freedom.
November 13, 2021 by Benjamin

Perpetual Futures-Spot Arbitrage sounds like science fiction. But nothing about Star Trek and Captain Spot! (or was his name Spock? 🤔) Behind the term lies merely a clever trading strategy. With cryptocurrencies a new type of futures contracts has emerged: Perpetual futures. These are futures that do not have a delivery date. Of course, there is also a chance to profit from its difference to the spot market. In arbitrage trading with perpetual futures you have the opportunity to earn the funding rate of 0.01% interest (and more) every 8 hours. As with almost all arbitrage trading strategies, the risk is low and the application is relatively simple. Learn how to apply the strategy concretely on Binance in this article.

Okay, low risk and Bitcoin don’t go together at all. If you look at the price trend of the cryptocurrency, it is shaped by high volatility and the large jumps that come with it. But what if there is a trading strategy that allows you to make an investment in Bitcoin and know in advance how much profit you will make? The basis for this opportunity is called contango. Learn how you can take advantage of this situation with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the Binance trading platform.

Futures contracts for dummies – a simple explanation

Representation of a bar chart and two graphs, which converge more and more and meet in one point. The two graphs show the correlation of the future and spot price of an asset in a bull market.
October 28, 2021 by Benjamin

Trading futures contracts is another outgrowth of the stock market. Outgrowth sounds rather negative, I know, but the original idea of it is quite positive and offers great benefits. Nevertheless, many investors use the asset class for pure speculation. Cryptocurrency platforms caught up and thus it is also possible to trade futures with Bitcoin and co. What is the origin of this financial product and what advantages does it offer today?

Short Selling? Long Buying? Finally a Simple Explanation

Graphic shows how first sell at high rate and then buy at low rate. The image has a blue background and behind the falling price chart is the world map.
October 19, 2021 by Benjamin

Short selling and long buying are terms used in stock trading. They were in the news not least because of the so-called «short squeeze» at the beginning of the year in connection with the Gamestop share. The film The Big Short is also dedicated to this topic: A hedge fund manager who saw the financial crisis coming in 2007 and therefore made an enormous profit with short positions.
